Red_Man — Translator

Hello!

My name is Valentin and I'm "English --> Russian" translator for almost 6 years. I started with gaming news and slowly switched to subtitles translation. Got 7 in IELTS recently (8 for both reading and listening). Actually, I represent a team of fellow translators. One of members has FCE level.

Why you should think about translations? Quite obvious. When it comes to release you want to have wider audience.
Russians have one of the biggest HL-related community, but unfortunately not everyone knows English good enough. That really ruins gaming experience.
After Black Mesa release there was a fast-created translation which contained a lot of mistakes but allowed to have a small part of that experience. Our team fixed that with recent translation, but it was quite late.
I can tell a lot about that, but already said too much.

Ok, our last work: subtitles of Black Mesa mod. Not only text, but also things such as interface correction (Russian words are longer and don't fit into menus).
