Well I'm assuming the positions are still open, so here it goes.
I would like to apply for level design on Operation Black Mesa (I could also work on GD as well, but I would prefer OBM if possible). I have a very good amount of knowledge in Valve Hammer Editor, although I will say right off the bat, I'm more of a community custom style mapper, rather than a competitive style mapper.
In my previous maps I have built, they're usually custom, random stuff you don't see in other maps (such as a godmode area for a TF2 map). Even though I like this style more, I can still easily build a competitive, or a single player design like Operation Black Mesa.
When it comes to how long I have been creating levels, I started on the old CS 1.6 Hammer editor, with very basic designs, learning here and there as I went. This is also the case for the current version of Hammer, as I always make maps here and there, and have learned a great deal from experimenting.
I know how to make custom textures, but I only have paint.net, and I mainly use it for custom signs telling a player where to go.
I should also have a lot of free time on my hands due to me finally graduating, and moving to somewhere quiet. I even have a few other solo map projects I'm working on, but those can always be put on hold. I also manage a fairly good sized community with multiple servers in different games. (Just a small bit of info on me.)
I've never worked with a team before, but I'm sure it would be a fun new experience for me that I would love to try.
